A Memorial is created because someone lived. It becomes a symbolic expression of love and remembrance of the person. small_tm.gif - 955 Bytes in K-J Gems and Heirloom memorials from Hagarty Monuments are a fitting choice in achieving this expression. To the left via the smaller buttons are a few of the many types and shapes of memorials we offer. Almost all are available in standard designs and lettering as well as customized designs and lettering to bring to reality those special ideas you might have. You ask it - Our Art Staff can create it. All of our memorials are available in a large selection of granite colors.

upright.gif The price of a granite or marble cemetery memorial is determined by the type and quality (Grade) of it. The next factors determining price are the size and number of finished surfaces and the type of finish used on the surfaces. Obviously, a polished surface is going to cost more than a plain sawed surface. Other factors are freight, special cuts, the amount of lettering and carving, delivery, installation, etc.
Quality of Granite is expressed in grades much like lumber. You have different kinds of granite just like you have different kinds of trees that produce lumber. Each kind of tree or granite has it's own characteristics and is better for certain uses. Each kind of tree produces different grades of lumber from top grade down several steps to the lowest grade. The top grade of lumber is more uniform in grain, clarity, and texture and will produce the highest quality of finished product. The lower grades, although they can be used to make the same product, will not finish out with the quality of the top grade. This fact is also true in granite. When you purchase a K-J Gems or Heirloom memorial from Hagarty Monuments, you are assured of the top grade.

grassmarker.gifKallin-Johnson was one of the early monument industry pioneers in the use of computers. We were one of the first to use computers in our office and probably tenth in the nation to use computers for design and computers in our production department. The result of this is that we have a lot of know how and thousands of floral designs, fraternal, religious and professional emblems, scenes, crosses, memorial layouts, lettering styles and many other items in our computer library. With this extensive computer data base of information, many of the designs that used to be custom are now standard and give you a much wider choice of specialized memorials at a standard price.
